CHINESE ASTROLOGY DATES

Chinese astrology dates can be confusing to westerners because the Chinese calendar follows the cycles of the moon rather than the sun. Because lunar cycles don’t add up exactly to the Gregorian (western) calendar, Chinese New Year falls on a different day every year. Therefore, in order to find your Chinese zodiac sign you might have to look at the actual dates of each Chinese New Year.

Typically this is only a concern if you were born in the months of January or February, since these are the months in which the lunar new year typically lies, but it may be to your benefit to double check anyway. Of course, if you have already received your Birth Chart or Personality Profile then you already have the exact calculation, but here are the dates for those who haven’t yet taken this step:
